Gary will electronically restore old photographs to near their
original condition and supply you as many new prints as you desire while
returning the original to you. He
cannot, however, perform total miracles, but almost miracles.

- Manual Restoration of Old Paintings

Gary will refurbish and restore old paintings that have aged
ungracefully and/or been damaged. There is a limit on what can be done,
however. Talk to us. Tell us of your plan to ship any painting to our
Wheaton, Illinois address.
Sometimes it helps to to take a digital photograph of
an old or damaged picture and "virtually restore" it to get an idea of what
could and should be done. Virtual restoration photographs will be appended
to our response. This is our way of saying thanks for a most generous
donation to VLI in advance.

- Cleaning Old Artwork

Gary will meticulously clean a dirty antique piece of art such as an
oil painting to make it bright
and new looking again. Sometimes the paint vehicle or media matrix itself has yellowed and
darkened with age. We cannot do much about this. This is a service by way of

Authentication by Chemical Analysis
Art experts are a necessary resource to use when getting an antique painting
authenticated. But, often a forgery can be detected by chemical analytical means
when experts are divided or stumped. The "Vinland Map" held by Yale University
was proven to be a forgery by Dr. Walter C. McCrone who also was the first
to definitively debunk the so called "Shroud" of Turin. Polarized light
microscopy is used in conjunction with ion microprobe, scanning electron x-ray
emission microscopy, Fourier transform infrared absorption microscopy and other fully
appropriate
methods. Our analysts are not carpenters with only a hammer to whom every
problem looks like a nail.

it is to be framed and/or matted and note its price according to the guidelines given
there. Remember the picture's title or its number in either type of slideshow gallery
sequence (this site's own or FothoThing). Uh oh. you might have to be able to count.
Services should be done the same way although you will
need to use the feedback page more extensively.
Also give a brief
description of the picture or service if you can, just to make sure, use the
feedback page as well. Sorry this cumbersome procedure will be changed. Then use your credit
card with PayPal. Remember your price estimate You get to name your own price,
more or less!
Be sure to use the same name on this
site's forms as you will use with
PayPal. We shall install a shopping cart ASAP.
For a limited time only, you may
select a second picture of the same size, et cetera, or get extra service, for no additional charge
except for a slightly increased shipping fee, if any. We make no profit on
shipping.
The slideshow galleries include
FotoThing and an in-house slideshow for each of four categories as seen on the
exemplar pages under the Products or Premiums links. There are, perhaps, a dozen dozen
pictures on this site.
But you can ask for hundreds more in each of over a
eight
more categories. LoneTree can mail or email pages and pages of contact prints,
which are like thumbnail pictures, in about any nature, landscape or wildlife
category you can think of including Cityscapes, Architecture, Old houses &
Barns, Antennae/Grain Elevators/Power Towers & Substations, and
Planes/Trains/Automobiles as these are "works of Man" as a part of Nature.
LoneTree's prints are always in limited editions (25 or
less) regardless of format (size and other parameters). They are always signed
by me (or any other artist that we may sponsor) and dated with the edition limit

his thick neck. Other varieties have longer, more slender necks and, of course,
