LUCKYBOY FOREVER JUMPS
over trees and streams!

The Definition of Beauty
...characterizes the human concept of beauty by incarnating all of the
abstract and explicit elements of what we call beauty. We are hunter/gatherers
who need game and forage (or their modern equivalents) to survive. Our neural
networks are wired to recognized patterns that are deemed "beautiful" so that we
will feel affinity for the places that will meet our survival goal. In a sense,
evolution has endowed us with a sort of ancestral or genetic "memory".
So, we have evolved by the hand of God to appreciate
beauty. In a mystical sense, we have evolved to appreciate God, as well. God
won't go away because our brains are wired to recognize Him in whichever form we
may prefer, when we meditate,
worship and pray. Read the fascinating new book Why God Won't Go Away by
Newberg, D'Aquili and Rause.
Key Attributes of this Product or Premium and Others
- My favorite, and so primary, size fits the 18" x
12" format, is not exactly this size, but needs to be matted to a custom
frame. Large and custom sizes available up to jumbo poster size and beyond
and
on many media substrates. Unframed standard sizes available on request.
-
- Color Depth is 16 million
- Signed and dated by me with a framed or
FRAMABLE annotation or brief essay, also signed
and dated to help prove authenticity and provenance.
-
- Pixel depth is way way large enough to display
absolutely no pixilation whatsoever to the naked eye. I use an exclusive
process for computer rendition of my art that I call my electronic Swiss
Army Knife of a combination
developer, enlarger, pen and paintbrush. Like that Swiss Army Knife, I can do
anything with it that can possibly be imagined. It is an unique combination,
a veritable palette,
of sophisticated software programs, because no one commercial program can do
it all.
-
- Always printed on highest quality photopaper, surface coated
and laminated to prevent damage and fading, it should last indefinitely with proper
care. Other media substrates are available on request. Please adjust your
donation or payment accordingly.
-
- Total Edition Size: 25 -
That is, only a grand total of 25 of these prints will ever be produced and distributed in
all
sizes, see the breakdown in the table below.
-
- You give the size specifications that you want.
Standard frame sizes on request but a desired matte border width should be
considered in all cases. Custom and standard sizes should be capable of retaining
image
proportions, but I will distort these prints slightly, but reluctantly, for
good reason. Talk to me.
-
- It is assumed that these prints will be
framed and matted somehow at some time. So the rough size format does
not necessarily include the matte and frame. I like to specify exact sizes
so that dimensions come out to the nearest 1/4 of an inch because I hate to
have to calculate insignificant fractions like 1/8 ths and 1/32 nds and 1/64
ths in print size, matte dimensions and frame specifications. Remember that
print dimensions include twice the matte overlap margin and the matte border
widths need to multiplied by two to attain the overall dimension and mattes
need to have two times the frame lip width considered
-
- .................It's just easier to let me
decide.................... just give me rough
dimensions and a general description as to surrounding colors like a wall,
carpet or ceiling hue or dominant hue of major furniture or upholstery and a
general preference as to desired frame style (modern, art neuveau, bau haus,
Scandinavian, shiny modern metal, classical like Baroque or Rococo, etc.) and whether you want a
matching color scheme or a complementary one. Matching blends in while
complementary accentuates. The matte and frame, however should coordinate
with the picture and the picture should be selected with all these factors
considered. I prefer to decide these matters based on your descriptions
because I want to assure that my work is displayed well. Frames and mattes are a part of my art.
-
-
- Filet, complex or compound multilayered mattes should
increase the suggested price. Just state an overall or general preference
and let me decide. I am a vertically integrated artist.

Total edition size, of any dimension, not to exceed 25.
Prints are signed, dated and numbered like serigraphs (silkscreens) with a short philosophical or religious inspirational description of the work by Gary included.
"Roughly" usually means the maximum proportional size that will fit the
format considering the need for margins, including or excluding desired matte
border widths. Please specify whether to include a matte border width on the
print or not and
if so, what width. If I make the matte and do the framing, of course, this is
not necessary.

A Blinkin' Bloody Cardinal in a Bloomin'
Crabapple Tree
Not only did I have to wait around all day to shoot this
cardinal,
but I had to hike another three miles to find this crabapple tree.

GAK's FOTOTHING
Go to any exemplar page and use the form there to specify a picture, its size,
whether it is to be framed and/or matted and note its price according to the guidelines given
there. Remember the picture's title or its number in either type of slideshow gallery
sequence (this site's own or FothoThing). Uh oh. you might have to be able to count.
Also give a brief
description of the picture if you can, just to make sure of accuracy, using the

changed. Use it and then use your credit

The slideshow galleries include
FotoThing and an in-house slideshow for each of four categories as seen on the
exemplar pages under the Products or Premiums links. There are, perhaps, a dozen dozen
pictures on this site.
But you can ask for hundreds more in each of over a
eight
more categories. LoneTree can mail or email pages and pages of contact prints,
which are like thumbnail pictures, in about any nature, landscape or wildlife
category you can think of including Cityscapes, Architecture, Old houses &
Barns, Antennae/Grain Elevators/Power Towers & Substations, and
Planes/Trains/Automobiles as these are "works of Man" as a part of Nature.
LoneTree's prints are always in limited editions
(25 or less) regardless of format (size and other parameters). They are always
signed by me (or any other artist that we may sponsor) and dated with the
edition limit stated in order to make this a true investment for you. LoneTree's
Pictures will increase in value by 300% in less than 5 years.

BIG FALLS
AFTER A SPRINGTIME SNOWFALL
On the Eau Claire River in Eau Claire County, Wisconsin
There are indeed a few stretches of rapids on the Eau Claire River. This
flow runs around an island and the flow on the other side has some low falls
that are also very pretty. Big Falls is located in a county park and the far
side of the island, with the falls, is frequented by many swimmers in summer.
Swimmers seem to avoid this side because it appears to be a bit more turbulent
and treacherous.
